We will be trading in our ham and mashed potatoes for must-be-good-for-me-because-it-tastes-so-bad foods to meet our healthy New Year’s resolutions. Grace Foods, a division of Grace Kennedy and provider of scrumptious, authentic Caribbean food and beverages, proposes a tastier solution with its recipe for a Detox Mango Blackberry Smoothie featuring Grace Coconut Water.

The two layered smoothie is delicious and detoxifying with lots of fiber, antioxidants and immune boosting nutrients to help usher in those 2015 resolutions. The special ingredient is Grace’s 100% Pure and Natural Coconut Water. Grace Coconut Water contains 500mg of potassium and five essential electrolytes to rehydrate you, even after your toughest workouts.

Detox Mango Blackberry Smoothie

2 tablespoons silken tofu

1 cup frozen blackberries

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 cup spinach or kale

1/2 banana

1 cup La Fe Mango Pulp

1 cup Grace Coconut Water

First combine frozen blackberries, 1 tablespoon tofu, chia seeds and spinach in a blender. Blend until smooth and pour into glass. Rinse out blender then add in remaining tablespoon of tofu, mango pulp, coconut water and banana. Blend until smooth and pour on top of the blackberry smoothie. This will give you a beautiful layered smoothie. Add a few blackberries on top for decoration and enjoy. For extra sweetness, you can add the other half of the banana and more La Fe Mango Pulp.

Super Coconut and Parsley Smoothie

2 cups Grace Coconut water

1/2 bunch parsley

1/2 banana

1 handful baby spinach

1 pear, halved and cored

Start by adding the liquid to your blender, then the soft fruits (banana and pear) and finish with the greens. Blend 30 seconds or until creamy.

Pumpkin Chia Coconut Smoothie

1 cup coconut milk
1 cup Grace Coconut Water
1 1/2 cups of pumpkin purée
1 tsp pumpkin spice
2 tablespoons of shredded coconut (optional)
2 tablespoons of chia seeds
large handful of spinach
1 tablespoon of maple flavored whiskey (optional)
1 banana

Combine all in a blender and top with chia seeds.
