It's a big world out there. Expose your kids to the possibilities at the Rubin Museums's Expedition Cosmos! Family Day. On Saturday February 13 share this collection of art from the Himalayas and surrounding regions with your kids.

The all day adventure focuses on educating kids on how cultures from around the world have interpreted the cosmos. There will be art activities, story-telling tours, scavenger hunts, celestial dance performances, and a inter-galactic trip into a Starlab. A $7 cosmic passport (available at admissions) is required for some programs. Highlights from the day include:

Dancing Under the Stars (show times are noon, 2 and 4 pm): Dancers from Dance Theater of Nepal as they explore movement inspired by the stars and the elements in these 20 minute interactive performances.

Journey through the Universe (show times are 1,3 and 5 pm): Watch a film about the exploration of the Universe designed by the American Museum of Natural History narrated by a Cosmic Guide.
