Valentine's Day is a big deal in our house...And that probably comes from the way I grew up. My mom has always prepared special surprises for my sister and I each and every holiday and I've carried that tradition on with my own kiddos. Valentine's Day is no exception. My wee ones always look forward to waking up on heart day to see the little treats mama has left them. And this year, I've decided to get even more creative with our Valentine's Day festivities by trying my hand at some DIY gift wrapping action. Don't get me wrong...I'm not going TOO crazy. Haha! These are a couple of the easiest DIYs you'll ever see!
I thought Em John's Valentine's Day bracelets would make darling gifts for the ladies in my life (especially my lil' lady bean who is all about baubles...or "pretties" as she calls them) so I set out to find wrapping trimmings that would sweetly showcase my gifts of choice. I started at Michael's where I picked up striped and heart printed lunch bags (brown lunch bags would work just as well) and heart shaped doilies...And some I Love You labels from Mabel's Labels came in hand for my second DIY gift wrap idea.
First, I simply used a glue stick to secure a doily to a couple of the bags...And then I placed heart shaped stickers on the other bag. I told you these DIY Valentine's Day gift wrapping were easy as pie! So, if you're looking to a little something to your Valentine's Day gifts this year, why not go the semi DIY route and add some fun details to your gift wrap? It only takes a few moment to make your gift look extra special!
