If you're anything like me, you're always looking to add more natural products to your life. And that goes beyond beauty products...I'm talking cleaning products too! Did you know that you can make your own cleaning products? A few simple ingredients and a little elbow grease can get your home sparkling clean...and you can make it spic and span without products that are chock full of chemicals.
Now I'm no stranger to DIY beauty products. In fact, I've featured several of my scrubs and masks right here on Momtrends. This is the first time, however, that I've attempted to make my own cleaning products and I can honestly say that it won't be the last. Not only does this DIY soft scrub cleanser work, but it smells positively divine. And a fresh smelling house that's filled with kiddos is no easy feat. Am I right? Haha!
So, here's what you need to make a soft scrub that would be perfect to tackle your bathroom tub, sink etc. with...
2 tablespoons (equal parts) baking soda and water
5-10 drops organic orange essential oil depending on how strong you want the fragrance to be
Step 1: Simply mix the baking soda and water together to form a paste.
Step 2: Add your preferred number of orange oil drops. I used 10.
Can you believe how easy it is to make your own soft scrub? If you try this DIY cleanser out, please let us know! On that note...Have you ever made any other cleaning products yourself? I would love to know what works for you!
And if you're looking even more greener ways to clean, check out the Zabada Kitchen Glove & Marvel. You only need your glove and water to clean your kitchen counters, cooktops, tiles and even ovens . And you'll marvel (haha) at how the Marvel helps remove all moisture to prevent the growth of bacteria. Think about how much money you'll save, not to mention, help the environment because you won't need to use as many products! Three cheers for chemical free cleaning!
