How My Kitchen Aid Mixer Changed My Life: My Kitchen Aid Mixer has completely changed my life. I know this sounds so dramatic, but there's has been no other product that has really impact my days quite like my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. I received my Kitchen Aid Mixer for my bridal shower and was honestly second guessing registering for it once I received it. Why would I need it? How would I use it? Where would I PUT it? Well that was six years ago and now I don't know how I ever thought I'd do without it. I use it that often.
As a green and natural mama I try to make as many things as I can from scratch. I love to cook, bake and create healthy, nutritious meals for my family. I also do a lot of entertaining. My house seems to be the gathering spot and that couldn't make me any happier. What role does my Kitchen-Aid Stand Mixer play in all this? Well, a starring one of course!
After the new year, I decided that I was going to start making my own dough for just about everything. I have failed miserably tried unsuccessfully to do this in the past. I just never seem to knead the dough correctly. I don't know if I'm not putting enough ummpphh into it, or what, but when I used the dough hook attachment on my stand mixer, the very first time my pizza dough was perfect! I know this was no coincidence!
I have always used the paddle to help me make delicious homemade cakes, pies, dressings and sauces. I appreciate the size of the bowl and love that it is stainless steel so not only does it clean up easily, I don't have to worry about BPA tainting my food. I can make three loaves of bread, six dozen cookies and the fluffiest mashed potatoes with no hassle all in minutes.

I love the whisk attachment to whip up (sorry for the pun) a batch of homemade icing, or fluffy cream. Again, I don't have to worry about whisking too hard, too long or too much! I have recently tried the pasta making attachment, and I was a bit skeptical at taking on such a feat. If you are interested in making home-made pasta, this is the tool for you! It was SO easy!
When my children were little I made all of their baby food. I used the shredder/slicer and the strainer to make homemade applesauce, pie filling, salads, casseroles, and soups. This machine has taken a beating and still looks brand new. The motor is as powerful as ever and my attachments are not rusty or worn. My Kitchen Aid stand Mixer is my all-in-one must have kitchen tool.
I am looking to purchase the other attachments so I can expand my cooking horizons. (I don't think I'll have a need for the sausage stuffer as my culinary goals do have boundaries!) I know they have an ice cream maker attachment, and a juicer. I love that I can have one machine that does everything. I have a kitchen that is on the smaller size, and I have a thing for my counters as I don't like to keep anything out on them! (I know...but it's a thing I have.) The only thing that's allowed to call my counters home is my Kitchen Aid Stand mixer because without it, I would not be the cook, entertainer or natural mama that have become the essence of who I am.
