I played with 100 new toys today...what did you do? No it wasn't a playdate gone wild. I was at the 2009 Toy Fair here in NYC. Trends include MANY green toys, recycling trucks are hot, hot, hot and so are toys that promote public transportation. I also loved all the dolls that DON'T wear slutty clothing and all the really cool kid-powered bikes and scooters. All in all a great show, but more on that later.
At the Toy Fair, I checked in with International Playthings. I've long been a fan of their Taggies line of baby toys. Babies love to finger the tags on everything--Taggies maximizes the experience. I love the new 30" Activity Quilt. Its loaded with tactile tags and heaps of opportunities (mirrors, crinkly sounds and more) to keep baby busy. Plus it includes two soft handles for easy portability. Expecting moms will surely need a play mat and this is a great registry item.
Win It! International Playthings is generously going to give a lucky Momtrends readers a Taggies Activity Quilt. To win, click here to view the quilt. Then come back to Momtrends and leave a comment naming one of the toys on the quilt. For an extra entry add the Momtrends button to your blog!
