Water Geeks
Down with plastic. I'm committed to reducing my consumption of water bottles and I've invested in some gear from Water Geeks.
In doing my reasearch for this post, I found this great piece titled: Five Reasons Not to Drink Bottled Water. It really resonated. So to save money and the earth, I am vowing to pack bottles from the Water Geeks (you can join in the fun by taking a pledge here to "Take Back the Tap") and cut down on my bottle count. We started this project weeks ago with the Kid Friendly Bottle. ($12.95)
This 12oz bottles comes in 3 great colors. My 3 y.o. loves her pink bottle (her take...water tastes better from this than from a plastic cup) and totes it to school every day. Features include:
- Made with unlined, food grade stainless steel
- Wide mouth for ice cubes (hello baseball moms) and easy cleaning
- Ergonomic, curved design
- Lightweight, easy to carry and pack in a lunch box
- Non-leaching and BPA-FREE
- Comes standard with a pop-up sport cap and sippy adaptor also available
Plus with every bottle you buy, 20% of the purchase goes to the Unicef Tap Project.
