Nursery Safety Part II

Yesterday we talked about nursery safety and today I am going to recommend a few items to make your baby safer.

Dream Baby introduced a new device in February. I've been using the Adjustable Baby Safety Steel Cable Lock($11.97) they gave me to test out in numerous capacities. I did try it as a stroller lock (hey, I live in NYC crime is a fact of life) it was just long enough at 15" to wrap around a fence when I left my stroller outside. It also works well to lock down poisonous liquids and medicines.

Another find is the CoverPlug--the best outlet cover on the market. If you've researched choking hazards, you know that anything that will fit through a toilet paper tube is too small and considered a hazard. Well, most outlet covers are small enough to fail this test. Not so the CoverPlug ($4.99 each). This clever design covers the entire outlet. No more hunting for the lost plug after vacuuming. And for you design fanatics, you'll love the fact that the CoverPlug can be painted--truly hiding any outlet in you home.
