Toy Fair always inspires me--especially when I get to see the companies like Sprig that are truly trying to improve the world and not fill our kids minds and our homes with junk. Sprig Toys are made from "Sprigwood" a material devised from reclaimed plastic and recycled wood. And this holiday I'm smitten with the Sprig Boats in the Advneture Series.
Sprig's motto--"Where batteries stay out of landfills and kids stay off the couch"--is music to my ears. The little dudes, such as Violet Rio, are faceless (could be boys or girls--it's up to you) and can be worked into different adventure scenarios with appealing gear and gadgets. Colorful, and open-ended these toys won't grow old and clutter up the toy box. They give off a fun vibe not the ho-hum, another educational toy response.
Win it! SIX lucky Momtrends winners are going to get Sprig water toys. Five of you will get a cool Scuba Search Toy--a scuba dude (Willie) with his own boat ($8.99). And the Grand Prize winner will get the Dolphin Explorer Toy--two boats, dolphins, dudes and accessories ($29.99). To enter, visit SprigToys.com here and tell me one other toy that strikes your fancy. Come back to Momtrends and leave a comment.
