Today I dropped my girl at school, gave her a hug before her special assembly and said, "Happy Earth Day sweetie!" Last night as she regaled me with her version of "This Land is Your Land" (to be sung at assembly) she asked what the day was all about, I explained it is a day to think about all thewonderful things in nature and that it was a party...like a birthday...for the earth. A little lame? Here's the contest for the day: Answer this question in a comment, "How do you explain Earth Day to a 3 year old?"
The winner, selected by me will win a one of my favorite new toys from Green Toys. I just got the Tool Set in the mail to test out (whew, just in time). It's got 15 pieces to keep your little builder busy. All the tools (hammer, screwdriver etc) store right in the tool box. The best part is these toys are made from recycled milk jugs. (buy the Green Toys Tool Set on Amazon for $24.99). Green Toys will ship you another set, I get to keep this one!
Contest Ends Tonight (4/22/09) at Midnight EST. Be sure to add your contact email. Contest open to US residents ages 18 and over. Winners will be announced on a blog post. If winner fails to respond in three days a new winner will be chosen.
