The Glad Celebrity Coat Auction, running through December 26 on eBay, is part of The Glad Products Company'??s Celebrity Coat Auction with all proceeds benefiting One Warm Coat, a nonprofit that provides free coats and cold-weather accessories to families in need.

Also, now through May 30, 2011, Glad is offering free trash bags through The Bag Bank to help consumers tackle their own community service projects '?? such as coat drives and community clean-up events. When you organize your next community clean-up or a coat drives get the gear you need to make the effort happen. To get the free bags, consumers must complete a short request form, including a description of their service project. Glad will review all submissions, and will hand out donations from 150 bags for small projects to 450 bags for large efforts.
In addition to receiving free trash bags, everyone who submits an eligible request will be entered into a random drawing in which three winners will each receive $1,000 for themselves and $1,000 for a charity of their choice.
