Did you know that 2 to 3 out of every 1,000 children are born deaf or with a hearing loss? The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is presenting the 5th annual NYC Walk4Hearing that raises awareness about hearing loss, and raises funds for advocacy and critical programs and services. Hundreds of New Yorkers participate in the 5K walk so that people of all ages—from babies to seniors—can get the programs, support and services they need to meet the challenges of hearing loss.

The event will feature children’s activities, refreshments, giveaways, free hearing screenings, prizes, state-of-the-art hearing technology, including captioned Walk announcements delivered via smartphones.
