Step into this sweet toy shop in the East Village for a delightful game, adorable headband, or fairytale attire. This store has a classic "New York" feel without being pretentious or obnoxious. Young or young at heart, Dinosaur Hill is the place to go for something special.
We were enchanted when we stepped into this quaint toy shop in the East Village. Not only is it located across the street from one of our favorite brunch spots, it's in the heart of all things hip and young so you might even catch a celeb sighting while making the journey down there.
We automatically loved the marble greeting in the entryway and couldn't take our eyes off the beautiful mobiles and puppets hanging from the ceiling. Most items in the store are locally handmade...and not overpriced.
There's something fun for about every age, boy or girl. These wooden baby rattles caught our attention (and we didn't even have to shake 'em). Perfect for teething and music play.
Then there were these gorgeous wooden blocks. And get this: they come in English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Swedish and Spanish. (Phew!) Sets cost $32.25 or $37.75, depending on the size of the alphabet.
