The #1 morning news program just got a little more mom-friendly. Today.com is now full of videos, polls and more interactive programming that you can view on demand. Kathie Lee and Hoda (plus an amazing team of directors and PR pros) gathered a group online media to kick off the new launch at NBC headquarters in Rockefeller Center. Some of my favorite blogging moms and I chatted with Kathie Lee and Hoda about what it means to be connected as we watched Ann and Meredith venture into the world of twitter.
My favorite feature is all the video content. We don't have a television--I rely on radio and online news to keep informed. Now I can get videos that will help tell the story of the earthquake in Japan or the revolutions in the Middle East. TODAY.com videos showcase all TODAY segments as well as our online exclusives that come on after the program. I can also tweet and share the links on facebook (and you know how I love to share). The site is also full of news that is more personal in scope--such as this Money feature about moms feeling stress about emails and text about work interfering with parenting.
Few of us can devote our undivided attention to the news in the morning. There are lunches to pack, kids to dress and yes, emails to answer. This might be a solution for you to keep informed without burning breakfast or being late for work.
Momtrends was not paid for this post. Disclosure: We did get car service and a goody bag from this event.
