Red Rover is a super fun, easy, smart way to plan an activity and include your friends. This nifty little app lets you plan a date well in advance or gets you going on the spot. Even if your buddies don't have the app (they should) you can still let them know what your gang is up to by utilizing the emails in your contact list or posting your plan via twitter and Facebook.
Starting up is simple. Once you've downloaded the app to your iPhone, all you need is to decide what you want to do and who you want to do it with. Add a picture or some text to entice your pals to participate and you're off! Stuck for an idea of something to do? Click "explore more places" and a list of fun possibilities appears to spark your inspiration.
Something all the parents will enjoy is the "find a clean bathroom" button which uses your current location to find the tidiest place to do your business. There is also a "kid friendly" section which shows all things adorable for your little ones. Time for lunch but not interested in that Chuckie Cheese? No worries, Red Rover helps you find the cute (affordable) restaurant that has a perfectly acceptable kiddie cuisine.
The most impressive and hopefully most unused feature is the "emergency" section that provides information on hospitals, doctors, and poison control. You can set up an emergency contact list that on activated, can all be notified in case of a dire situation.
The only downside is the app can be a little buggy and close at random moments. You only need to reopen the app to resume your plans, but it can cause one to say, "What the..?" out loud in public places. Hey, nothings perfect. Download here.
