We kick off most mornings with a dance party. It might sound crazy, but when you’re as sleep-deprived as this mama, you’ll try anything—and a good old-fashioned DP seems to do the trick for our cranky crew.
My seven-month-old baby girl doesn’t sleep through the night yet (fingers crossed!) and my almost three-year-old boy wakes up, like, way too early, and desperate times call for desperate measures… So, yeah, let there be coffee and sunrise dancing!
We’ve got to get the energy flowing, our bodies moving, and our minds working, and the musical stylings of Taylor Swift and/or Bruno Mars never seem to fail us.
I’m a bit of a teeny-bopper (minus the teen part), and some of my favorite albums to share with the kids have come from KIDZ Bop. They recently released KIDZ BOP 29, and I, er, I mean my kids couldn’t be more excited! The album includes summer’s hottest hits like “Sugar,” “GDFR”, and “I Want You to Know.”
I’ve upped the ante on our AM dance parties with the help of KIDZ BOP and Spotify, a music streaming service that’s available for use on computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Spotify allows you to easily create and curate hundreds of playlists to coordinate with every possible mood or occasion. (We have a sleepy-time playlist and a kids’ pool party playlist too!) You can follow your fave artists and stay informed on the latest songs and albums too. You can even share playlists with friends and family (because, yeah, I’m a grownup who hearts KIDZ BOP and I’m not ashamed!) Spotify’s streaming service is free, but premium members enjoy unlimited skips, offline streaming, and ad-free listening—which the little ones definitely appreciate—because when it’s time to dance, it’s time to dance—even if it is 6 AM.
One lucky fan of The Shopping Mama will win a copy KIDZ BOP 29 + one 12 month subscription to Spotify Premium. Enter via rafflecopter below and don’t forget to leave a comment on this post to validate your entry.
