I'm always on the go--racing around taking my toddler to swim lessons and soccer practice and shuffling my six month old to wellness appointments at the pediatrician's office or mommy-and-me classes at the library. There are trips to the playground, picnics at the park and errands all day every day. We're a busy family and it seems to get even crazier during the spring and summer months.
We cover a lot of mileage, so I require comfortable shoes... supportive shoes... totally practical shoes for pounding the pavement with little ones in tow. Sneakers are great, but I like to air my toes and show off my pedicure during the warmer seasons. And flip-flops, while convenient, don't offer ample support on our longer outings. Luckily, foot-bed sandals (think: Birkenstocks!) and slip-on flats are both very much in style right now.
Foot-bed sandals are like beds for your feet (duh). They're cushiony, flexible, and incredibly comfortable. They're admittedly a little clunky, but that's the trend! Slip-on sneakers bring me back to my childhood. My mom used to take me for a new pair of new blindingly white Keds each year before starting camp.
This summer, I'll be on the move and on trend--I've rounded up eight awesome summer shoes that were definitely made for walking.
