Keeping My Babies "In Snacks" With #ALDILittleJourney

Penelope’s first word after “mama” and “dada” was, no joke, “SNACK.”

Fast forward 10 months and it’s still pretty much her favorite thing to say. Better yet, is the way she actually drags out the vowel sound with her high-pitched nasally little tone, “snnnaaaaaaaaack,” whilst also frantically pointing at the cabinet where we keep the “good stuff.”

It’s no surprise that she likes all her “nummies and nibbles.” Her big bro continues to have a bottomless pit all the toddler standbys, too. Fruit and veggie pouches, cereals, cheese puffs, and dehydrated yogurt treats are among their snack-attack faves.

I always try to keep stock of these cabinet-shelf staples, plus some organic pouches for on-the-go eating, and—ouch—does it get costly! Indeed, keeping two little ones satisfied between meals is quite an expensive endeavor. But what are you gonna do? They’re growing babes who need delicious, nutritious snackies.

Mama has got to keep her munchkins “in snacks”—and that’s why I was so excited to learn bout the launch of the new Little Journey line from ALDI.

Spiked Apple Cider Pops

September in the South is, in my opinion, still summer.  The eighties and nineties always prevail and make the traditional fall flavors that I crave so much slightly out of reach. As much as I want to relax and sip on some hot cider, at the moment, I still need something iced. more

ALDI is known for bringing shoppers high quality products at incredibly low prices. I hadn’t been to an ALDI store in years, but had heard great things from friends—so I decided to check it out again.

When I made it to the baby and toddler section, I was absolutely amazed. The new Little Journey line is sprawling and expansive and totally impressive, with everything from diapers to training pants to cleansing wipes to baby wash to formula and, yes, all the solid snacks my kiddies crave (and demand!) at a much more attainable price point. In fact, the line has nearly 50 high-quality affordably priced feeding and changing essentials parents, babies, and toddlers need.

I grabbed up some Little Journey Little Munchers (cheese puffs), Little Journey organic apple sweet potato puree pouches, Little Journey Strawberry Yogurt Bites, Little Journey Blueberry Puffs, and a couple packs of Little Journey thick-quilted wipes—because who doesn't need more wipes? (BTW, they're great, as every ALDI Little Journey product is the same caliber–or higher!–as the national name brands in terms of quality, durability, taste and price!)I filled my cart to the top, knowing my babies were going to be surprised and delighted.

And, boy, was I right! My four year old has never rushed to help me unpack groceries so fast—and my one year old was right behind him practically panting at the veritable buffet of edible options Mommy brought home.

“Mama! Mama! Snnnaaaaaaaaack?!?” Yes, little lady… Take your pick! There’s more where that came from!
