I will never be a golden goddess. Or a bronzed beauty… Or a tan temptress. It’s taken me a long time to admit this, but I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that my skin is one of two shades at all times: milky white or pinkish red. I’m pasty… pale…fair—however you want to sugarcoat it—and a sun-kissed glow is something I’ll never aspire to. At least not naturally. (Oh well, might as well slather on the SPF!)

This also means that I’ll never be the girl (okay, woman) who can leave the house without any makeup on. I require moisturizer to awaken my dull skin in the morning and some sort of foundation is a must to even out my tone. Bronzer is also a key ingredient in my arsenal and a vital step in my daily routine. I use it year round—because a healthy, vibrant complexion never goes out of style. This summer, I’ve been experimenting with a few new primping products from Physicians Formula, and I’m absolutely obsessed with my new beauty booty.

If you follow beauty trends, you know that argan oil has become a very popular ingredient—it’s ultra hydrating, gentle, and rich in conditioning benefits that improve skin’s overall brightness, tone, texture, and elasticity. I’m a big fan, so I was excited to learn that Physicians Formula has launched a new Argan Wear collection with 100 perfect pure argan oil. Putting on makeup in the morning never feels like a waste of time because I also consider these products to be a treatment! Win-win.

Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil, $14.95: As a busy mom, I don’t have a lot of time for superfluous products. I need items that get the job done and, better yet, act as multi-taskers. A little bit of this warmed up in my fingers and gently applied to my face works wonders. It absorbs easily and acts as a moisturizer, primer, brightener, and protector all in one. It creates an invisible barrier between your skin and makeup to even out imperfections and create a base for a flawless cosmetic application. It’s great under makeup, but it’s also amazing by itself. I also use this on my cuticles—and I haven’t yet tried, but it apparently is fabulous for your hair. (In other words, you are getting so much bang for your buck!)

Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil BB Cream, SPF 30, $14.95: BB Creams are having a major moment right now—and this one is my current fave! It glides on like a dream and instantly evens out my skin tone while simultaneously concealing flaws and blemishes. I apply it with my fingertips and it literally takes just seconds from start to finish. I really love the smooth finish, and radiant glow it gives my complexion. Plus, the fact that it has SPF baked in is key—one less step for this busy mama.

Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Bronzer, $14.95: I feel like I just left an exotic tropical vacation when I apply a light later of this sparkly, but subtle, bronzer. Light-reflecting pigments give my skin a luminous, sun-kissed glow and it can be layered on, as desired… The tan I will never naturally be able to get—without the harmful UV rays!

Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Blush, $12.95: Creamy and nourishing, this lightweight blush gives me a soft pinched-cheek look. It’s also just a really beautifully designed product. (I love pretty things, do you?)

BTW, I was on a roll, so I also tried Physician Formula’s new Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit… and all I can say is “WOW.” It looks like I’m wearing fake eyelashes—and I mean that in the best possible way!

Nourished skin, a sun-kissed glow, and long, lustrous eyelashes… Maybe I can be a bronzed beauty, after all.
