If you're anything like me, sleep doesn't always come easy. As a busy working mama, my brain is usually going a mile a minute and sometimes that can be hard to shut down at night. Taking a sleeping pill regularly doesn't really appeal to me, so I've turned to more natural methods to help me get some rest. Enter lavender...Research has shown that lavender has sleep inducing properties that can be very helpful to some people.
Being the product junkie that I am, I'm all about trying out new lavender infused products to add to my bedtime routine. Lucky for me, there are a slew of them out there and one of my favorites is Basq Lavender Sleep Mist. If light scents are your jam, you'll love this lavender pear fragrance that you can spritz in your room for a calming effect. It's refreshing and not at all overwhelming.
Basq also makes a Lavender Pear Oil and Lavender Soy Candle that you can apply to your skin that not only can soothe you to sleep, but is wonderfully moisturizing as well. As far as the candle goes, I love the idea of lighting it while soaking in a nice bubble bath. If that isn't a recipe for relaxation, I don't know what is!
For concentrated lavender action, consider Badger Organic Sleep Balm Lavender and Bergamot. Simply rub a bit of this balm on your temples, close your eyes and prepare to unwind. When applying something directly to my head like that, the fact that it's organic is definitely a selling point for me.
