I love a good fashion challenge. My mission to show a nail look that is "Inspired by the Runway." Since I love all the daytime sequins and of course I adore pops of neon, I put together this fun look for you. Not only do I want to inspire you to experiment with your nails, I also want to share a fun contest, that celebrates creativity called the Sally Hansen #IHeartNailArt contest.
All the nail art on pinterest has me slightly obsessed with mixing things up when it comes to my nails. I definitely wanted an accent nail (read more about that below). So I used the sparkly hue on my ring fingers. The other digits got a bold acidy green. The result? I'd like to call it edgy prep--feminine pink and green but with a downtown feel.
Here is a pin from the runway that inspired me:
Here are the tools I used: Sally Hansen Insta- Dri in Lickety-Split Lime and XtremeWear in Strobe Light. I topped it off with the Diamond Shine Top Coat. If you are a beginner, I highly suggest the Insta-Dri™ Fast Dry Nail Color. It was perfect for a newbie like me. The "Perfectionist Brush™" contoured to my nails making it easy to get an even coat.

Do you ever watch the Winter Olympics with your family? We sure do at this house. Seeing the ski racers fly down the mountains was a big part of what attracted our girls to ski racing, but the biggest draw was friendship and time spent in the snow. If you are wondering how to get ...read more
As part of the Glam team, I got to meet celebrity nail stylist Tracy Lee at an exclusive Glam event in NYC. From Tracy I learned that the runway colors are influencing the nail artists in a huge way. Tracy designed this look at the event. It reminds me a lot of Prabal's line at Target. The Sally Hansen artist used nail pens and a fine brush to create this mosaic look. For more advanced nail artists, give this a whirl!
