I bet many of you watched the Oscars on Sunday night and fell in love with a bunch of the hair and makeup that the celebs were rockin'...Am I right? Well, today's Beauty Buzz is all about how to get your own Oscars worthy look!
Let's start with hair...I've always thought pixies were so darling...on the right head that is. My round, rather large pumpkin shaped head was not meant to sport a pixie. Haha! But you lovelies with delicate, fairy reminiscent noggins should seriously consider it. Here are the details on how celebrity hairstylist, Laini Reeves , gave Oscars host, Ellen Degeneres, her fierce 'power pixie':
- First, I sprayed René Furterer VOLUMEA volumizing conditioning spray - no rinse at the roots.
- Next, I used a blow-dryer while twisting the hair into small sections, creating a bend all over.
- I then created volume on the crown and on the sides with a small round brush.
- To finish, using the René Furterer MODELING PASTE, I tousled the hair a bit with my fingers to enhance the texture and to adjust the shape. Ellen was ready to electrify the stage at the Oscars.
J Law, AKA Jennifer Lawrence, is another whose pixie I love...She brought drama to the Oscars by adding some height to her pixie...Conair's Pompadour Comb can help you recreate her pouf with minimal teasing and effort. And Scünci Beautiful Blends No Slip Grip Pins come in colors to match most anyone's hair...So, no unsightly pins!
5 Pretty Ways To Organize Your Jewelry
I admit - I'm guilt. Despite my best efforts, my "jewelry drawer" has become a tangled mess of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. This cluttered collection not only makes it hard to see what I have, but difficult to untangle the pieces I do want to wear! This summer, I'm ...read more

On the other side of the spectrum was Cate Blanchett's soft, feminine waves...If you're looking for a glam, date night look, this is it. To achieve Cate's waves, try Conair AdjustaCurl rollers. They can adjust to any size to achieve your desired level of curl or waves. To complement her glamorous waves and glitzy gown, her makeup artist went for a neutral, nude lip. Smashbox Cosmetics Be Legendary Lipstick in Nylon Nude would give you a similar feel.
Another favorite was the stunning Lupita Nyong'o who loves her CLARINS HydraQuench Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm that she wears wherever she goes, including to the Oscars!. It provides a new lip care that provides intensive relief for damaged lips while adding a delicate pink texture to enhance natural lip radiance. The texture is also really soft and comfortable to pamper dehydrated lips and restore their toned, smooth and healthy appearance any time of year.
