I try to get up before my kids do in the morning so I can have a few moments to myself. Whether I head off to a boot camp class or just sit and drink a hot cuppa tea in silence...carving out a portion of time in the morning that's all mine has done wonders for my psyche. I used to sleep until it was time to get everybody ready for school and I found that I was pretty stressed as I headed out the door. Ever since I revamped my mom morning routine, my days have been much more peaceful and a bit less harried. So, I thought I would share a few fabulous things that I've added to my morning me time...
1. Candles...As soon as I wake up, I light a candle with a nice, invigorating scent. Right now, I'm all about the Tuscan Cypress + Fig candles that I picked up at a lovely local biz called Seventh Avenue Apothecary. Surrounding myself with a "wake me up" kinda fragrance helps me start my day off on the right foot.
2. Tea...I'm typically a coffee girl, and to tell the truth, I still have a few cups throughout the day, but I've been trying out Tiny Tea from Your Tea in the morning. I've been amping up my fitness level with regular boot camps and this detox tea is just another layer that I've been able to add to my cleaner lifestyle goal. It can help with things like indigestion, reduction of excess weight AND energy boosting. And I can't forget my favorite feature...Bloating has always been an issue for me and this helps reduce that too. Score!

3. Skincare...You may have noticed that I LOVE facial oil...Well, Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate is a new favorite. I now give my skin an extra dose of hydration with this lightweight oil in the morning. It helps give me the dewy complexion I crave and the revitalizing citrusy scent is a bonus!
