The last thing I want my hair to look like is New York Streets. But one of the first things I'm happy to do is wash it with New York Streets. I know. I'm confusing. You aren't the first person to think that.
New York Streets has had a boutique line of high performance style products for the past two years. This is edgy stuff (they have a tattoo ink shield). I like the Liquid Shine and my husband like the Wax. If I had short spiky hair, I would be all over the Tar, a very cool and versatile texturizer. Yes, we are the kool kidz. Among all of these products that finish up your 'do, they just launched a shampoo/conditioner duo that's a great way to begin your 'do.
The shampoo is gentle for all hair types. It was a little thin, so the first time I opened it up the bottle to pour it, I dumped a bunch onto the shower floor. But once I was ready for the quick exit, I realized that it leaves hair with beautiful body and lustrous shine.
When I put on the conditioner, I actually felt that my hair was becoming thicker and more nourished. This makes sense as it claims to repair dry, damaged hair while adding body and shine. It's also great for when your next beauty step after stepping out of the shower is a blow drier or flat iron, since it helps to protects hair while the Polyfix Complex repairs what you've already done (read: split end alert).
Fab Beauty Finds New York Streets
Both products are color safe, with no sulfates or parabens. The duo is also available in two-ounce travel sizes, so you can bring them anywhere. Even down a few New York Streets.
New York Streets shampoo ($7.50) and conditioner ($8) are available at newyork-streets.com and salons nationwide.

You have your favorite lipsticks. I have mine. They usually go by the names: Shiseido, Clinique's Chubby Stick (the name still makes me giggle like a school girl), and Laura Mercier.
Now I have a new one. Maybe you'll add it to yours.
TIGI (the masterminds behind all your favorite Bed Head products) are now putting their beauty where your mouth is. The TIGI Beauty Decadent Lipstick is sweet little bullet of color that'??s actually multi-purpose. It goes on smooth as a lip stain, blusher or even an eyeshadow base. My favorite colors are Bliss (a great wine, shown above left) and Fierce (a bright red, shown above right). If you're planning on doing the trifecta of color usage, please choose lighter shades that work with your skin tone. There would be zero reason to have a merlot or bright red on your cheeks. We've already discussed theRaggedy Anne no-no. When applying to your cheeks, I find the touch is lighter when you put it on your fingers first. Then dab it onto the apples of your cheeks and blend. Please blend.
The lipstick is rich in emollients and antioxidants (not to mention so tiny and cute), so it's very hydrating, rich and glides on perfectly. You might even say putting it on is decadent.
TIGI is available on Amazon.com starting at $16.
