Once upon a time, back in my twenties, if you looked in my makeup bag, you'd find a lot from e.l.f. It was the super reasonable prices that this budget friendly makeup line offered that appealed to me the most back then, so when I grew up (you know when I started caring more about a good bottle of wine than dollar-beer night, bwah) and had more budget to work with, I found myself turning to higher end brands.
That being said, every time I saw e.l.f. on the shelf during my weekly Target jaunts, I always smiled because the line brought back such fond memories. So, when I had the opportunity to test out some new e.l.f. products recently, I jumped on it. I wanted to see what my old friend e.l.f. had to offer and I was thrilled with what I found...So, let's talk about a few of my favorite new e.l.f. finds shall we?
Baked Highlighter...Highlighter is not something I use every day, so I'm not exactly keen on spending an arm and a leg on it. But I do find myself wanting to experiment more with my look every now and again and this highlighter adds a lovely, illuminating kinda glow that I don't always have in the winter.
5 Pretty Ways To Organize Your Jewelry
I admit - I'm guilt. Despite my best efforts, my "jewelry drawer" has become a tangled mess of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. This cluttered collection not only makes it hard to see what I have, but difficult to untangle the pieces I do want to wear! This summer, I'm ...read more
This Year's Coolest Jumbo Pool Floats
Pool season is almost here! I can't wait to relax, read a book, and sip a cocktail while lazily drifting in an oversized float. (Just kidding, I have two toddlers--but a swim mama can dream, right?). If you've got a staycation planned, check out this year's coolest jumbo pool ...read more
Crystal Clear and Pristine: Pool-Cleaning Tips
Tropical Storm Isaiah gave us quite the midsummer surprise here in the suburbs of New York City. We just got our power back on after a whole week of darkness! With trees down, debris everywhere, and lots of uncertainty, one thing we forgot to check on: our above ground Intex ...read more
Baked Eyeshadow Trio...I love eye-shadow trios simply for the ease of use. They make it super simple to apply more than one color to your eyes without looking like a clown. And the coordinating colors in the Peach Please trio from e.l.f. make for a fabulous neutral statement. It's perfect for those busy mama mornings when you have little time to throw yourself together!
Velvet Matte Lipstick...I also don't typically love paying a large price tag for trends. Matte looks (on both lips and nails) are hot this season, but who knows how long it will be around this time. Matte is a trend that I'm diggin' right now though, so this lippie is right up my alley. I love how easily it goes on and it doesn't feel drying as some matte formulas can be.
So, there you have it...My favorite scores from the best budget friendly makeup line around. Which one will you be trying?
