I don't know what it is about summertime, but there seems to be a baby boom in my circle of friends...And they all happen to be boys! Go figure. With so many of my favorite ladies getting ready to welcome or have just had baby boys, I thought it would be fun to share a couple easy baby boy gift ideas...just in case you find yourself in need of one this season. Now we all know that blue is a popular color for boys, but I love red just as much! So, I decided to give you options in both color schemes!
Blankets have always been one of my favorite gifts. Whether we're talking about multi-purpose muslins or a soft, cushy blankie for baby to snuggle up with, you can't go wrong gifting blankets. And one of my favorite baby brands, aden + anais, makes some of the best swaddle blankets around. I'm particularly loving their special edition RED print, but any of their whimsical prints like Sail Away or Liam the Brave would make for darling gifts!
From stars to stripes, these RED swaddle blankets would be perfect in any baby boy's nursery....and any baby girl's too for that matter! Red is pretty gender neutral in my book. On a side note, swaddles can be used for so much more than swaddling. I've used them as a nursing cover, to throw down on the carpet for tummy time and even as a burp cloth. They're the ultimate multi-purpose piece baby! And speaking of multi-purpose baby boy gifts...They also made their classic burby bib in the same print. This is the champion of all bibs because it's both a bib and burp cloth in one!
You could also go the cozy blanket route. Whimsical Charm makes a luxe, cotton blend blanket that's lightweight enough to give as a summer gift, yet still soft and plush enough to feel substantial! As you can see, I'm a fan of giving stuffies, namely bunnies, along with my gifts. It never hurts to up the cuteness factor by adding a sweet stuffed animal like this huggable Evoli rabbit. In case you haven't noticed, softness is the theme here! Both the blanket and the bunny are super soft and perfect for little ones to cuddle!
And an extra set of bedding never hurt anyone. Sabrina Soto released some awfully adorable prints for her collaboration with Target! I love a good mixed prints look...even in nurseries!
