Munchkin, a company that specializes in functional and stylish products for babies and kids, recently showed Momtrends some of the hottest products from their 2012 catalogue. With a motto like, "It's the Little Things," I was oohing and aahing at their simple, yet innovative advances to everything from bathtubs to new gates to more efficient sippy cups, here are some of their latest offerings:
This fun nighttime ritual is all about having fun, and of course getting clean. At the preview, I loved the adorable Inflatable Safety Tub. Available in the shape of a duck or a seal, the tub includes a White Hot dot that turns white when the water is too hot, then turns blue when it's just right. Ideal for babies 6-24 months, the tub features a contoured headrest that is fully padded and a textured bottom so baby won't slip. Older kids will love training with the 3-in-1 Potty Seat. This innovative and multifunctional seat serves as a potty, step stool and a removable seat for use on a standard toilet. I love this appeal that combines function and use as kids learn how to go to the potty while also saving space (and money) so parents don't have to purchase multiple pieces.
Organizing my kids' room is a priority of mine in 2012, so I was elated to see Munchkin's latest storage containers, diaper caddies, nursery bins, and my favorite - the Nursery Projector and Sound System. This voice-activated system with soothing sounds also projects images (the sea, rainforest and the sky), comforting nightlight 10 soothing sounds, and voice activation to help baby sleep.

How to Get Your Child Involved in Ski Racing

I never realized just how many sippy comes I would come to love and loathe as a mom. I quickly learned what worked, what spilled, what some lacked and which ones provided better suction. The cups from Munchkin come with a leak proof and mess-free guarantee that is backed with a 100% replacement. Available in an assortment of vibrant colors, fun artwork, licensed characters, and styles including sippy, trainer, straw, flip straw and Big Kid'?¢ spout-less, I really loved testing out the cups and hearing the click as they closed. For my baby, I am excited to test out the 7oz Click Lock Trainer Cup and the 9 oz. Click Lock Insulated Sippy Cup for my older daughter in a variety of fun and festive colors.
A new addition to the Munchkin line is their various baby proofing products like metal gates and accessories like locks. When speaking with Munchkin, I learned that they test out all of their competitors gates as well as their own for efficiency. I loved learning more about the Quick Install Gate that literally installs in seconds along with its one-handed locking mechanism to keep babies and kids safe. I also really liked their Xtra Guard Safety Lock Plug Covers. Not like your traditional plug covers these locks are integrated with a locking mechanism that opens and closes with a coin! I love how they upgraded the plug that is also smooth and no-grip to prevent tampering. I also liked their rubber Corner Cushion protectors that is formatted to protect a child from sharp edges.
