Nautical Theme Baby Gift Ideas

There is a baby boy on the way in our family and I'm in the throws of planning an adorable pirate themed baby shower. Since my soon to be nephew's mama, AKA my sister, is decorating his nursery with a nautical theme and we're going a similar route with our "ahoy, it's a boy," baby shower, I thought it would be fun to put together a nautical themed baby gift. I'm a big fan of themed anything and once you select a theme, it's so easy to pull together a cohesive looking gift. So, here are some nautical theme baby gift ideas for the next time you need a baby gift and want to make it extra special!

First, I started with a SailorBag nautical stripes bucket bag. It doesn't get much more nautical than stripes folks. It was the perfect size to house all the nautical goodies I collected. Plus, the mom to be will be able to use it to store things in her nursery later. It would also make a cute centerpiece container for summer entertaining. I'm all about multi-purpose packaging that can be used long after a gift has been received! It makes for such a sweet touch.

Next, I rounded up some pieces that screamed nautical to me. Whales are a given, obviously. Estella's organic baby toys were a great place to start. A little whale rattle and security blanket looked just darling peeking out of the nautical bag. I also added Winter Water Factory orange sailboat print one-piece romper and blanket along with a Melissa & Doug Twisting Crab Toy, Little Me sailboat footie & hat set, and a wave bedecked Nordstrom swaddle blanket.

Going organic is important to so many parents and parents to be these days, I think it's a great idea to incorporate organic pieces into baby gifts when you can!
