One of the first items that I traveled with my baby was our Pack 'n Play by Graco. As a way to sleep on-the-go all I had to do was open this pack and my baby had an instant place to both sleep and play. This iconic product is now celebrating its 25th Anniversary since its launch in 1987.

First designed by Nate Saint, the son of the inventor of the first baby swing, the Pack 'n Play has evolved over more than two decades of close observation of parents' caring for their babies. (To see that newest playards check out our Momtrends Must-Haves)

25th Anniversary of the Pack 'n Play

Coinciding with the 25th Anniversary, Graco is introducing the new Pack 'n Play Playard with Reversible Napper & Changer, designed to offer a convenient solution for on-the-go parents by combining two of the most popular playard features, a changing station and a newborn napper. This model was designed after research revealed first time expectant moms want all the essential features in their playard, plus the ability to quickly pack up and be on the go with baby in tow. This need is now met because parents can simply turn over the newborn napper to reveal a changer '?? removing one extra piece to pack!

Twenty-five years after the launch, the Pack 'n Play boasts more than 60 models and fashions in its current lineup which ranges from basic to full-featured playards, which can include extras such as newborn napping stations, MP3 speaker systems, removable play mats, changing tables and more-- the evolution of these upgrades all inspired by caregivers.

"Graco takes pride in observing parents care for their little ones and evolving the Pack 'n Play for their needs," said Jim Poppens, Vice President of Marketing for Graco. "This is the reason why we've earned their trust and loyalty and have been the category leader for more than two decades."

Graco Pack 'n Play playards are sold online and in stores, including Babies R Us, Target, Buy Buy Baby, Walmart, Amazon.com, Gracobaby.com and many specialty retailers.
