Besides our millions of dollars, of course, what do Sarah Jessica Parker, Kourtney Kardashian, and I have in common? We all are sweet on butterscotch. It's a big trend--Personalized Blankets and I think it's a great gift for that "hard to shop for" friend.
These lovely ladies adore Butterscotch Blankees, and after I unwrapped my first, I got the sweet tooth too.
To begin, I won't candy coat it (yes, another pun). There's nothing that great about a plain old blanket. But throw some initials, a meaningful date, or monograms on it, and you've got something special.
Butterscotch does just this. Personalizing incredibly soft, handcrafted throws, stroller blankets, pillows, hats, and scarves, it's almost like you have a grandma in the corner knitting your baby his or her own blankee. And because I can't knit (something Julia Roberts and I do not have in common), this to me is quite an accomplishment.
The designs go with any child's room. Think polka dots, cupcakes or hearts for your little sweetheart; footballs or baseball for your sports fan. There are even designs for the rebel in your house, like skull and crossbones, guitars and vintage motorcycles (sure to keep teens happy). The color choices seem limitless, and you can choose from seven different fonts and cashmere or acrylic knit.
And while these items make the perfect gift for kids of any age, Butterscotch Blankees has several designs for adults as well. Their home décor collection includes full-sized throw blankets and pillows, becoming the perfect accessory to any couch or bed.
Butterscotch Blankees also come appropriately wrapped like candy--butterscotch foil paper tied with bronze tulle ribbon on the ends.
The newest addition to the collection is set to launch in Spring 2012 and will have children's knit sweaters and dresses. Isn't that sweet?
Butterscotch Blankees are available at www.butterscotchblankees.com for $130 to $284. Get great baby shower ideas here.
