We are so excited for celebrities that use their face and voice to give back. One of our favorites is Kristen Bell who is backing This Bar Saves Lives and their new tote bag. Designed by the actress and activist herself, this fun bag, called This Bag Saves Lives will provide a malaria treatment to a person in need of the medication, for every bag sold.

“A few years ago, we set out to create a company that infuses philanthropy into everyday items to help save lives around the world,” shares Bell. “In the first year of business, via sales of our gourmet granola bars, we provided treatments with each purchase.”

Co-designed by Kristen Bell and Apolis, This Bag Saves Lives, a classic jute tote, is sustainably handcrafted by artisans in Bangladesh, is 100% vegan, made from recycled materials, and features a waterproof lining to protect your fresh veggies and cold vino.

“Kristen Bell is much more than just an ambassador for This Bar Saves Lives,” explains co-founder Ryan Devlin. “She is knowledgeable about the issues we are working on and deeply involved in nearly all of the decisions that are made in our company. Similarly, we have been so impressed with the work that Apolis Global has done to empower communities around the world and create global citizens and we are elated to bring together this powerful trifecta to join the community of people working on preventing Malaria from claiming lives globally.”

To distribute the treatments, This Bar Saves Lives has partnered with FIMRC (Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children) who have been working hard to help the over 200 million people suffering from malaria worldwide.

This Bag Saves Lives will retail for $28 and is available at www.thisbarsaveslives.com. The product will retail alongside the line of gourmet bars with natural, gluten-free, non-GMO, fair-trade ingredients that provide nutrition to a malnourished child with each purchase.
