Spring Skiing in Utah

Plan your perfect family ski trip to Utah. Spring Skiing in Utah

While most mountains on the East Coast are wrapping things up in March, in Utah, ski season is still going strong. In fact, the snow just keeps on coming! Did you know that in Utah an average of 6.7’ of snow falls during April. Yes, that’s SIX FEET SEVEN INCHES (FYI that’s how tall Tony Robbins is)! Spring skiing in Utah is where powderhounds will find bliss.

To date, the state has been blessed with an abundance of snow. As of March 1st, Brighton Resort already has 555” on the season, and most of Utah’s resorts having well over a 100” base, this spring is the perfect time to come to Utah. If you have a late spring break, or heck even want to ski over Easter, you should consider Utah.

If you can nab a direct flight, Utah is quite doable from most cities for a weekend ( I just checked Delta and I found a weekend round-trip airfare of $250). The airport is close to the mountains (just 45 minutes to a number of resorts), with a morning flight you can be skiing in the afternoon. Right now it’s the perfect snow-friendly equation–great snow and great deals on lodging.

Wondering where to go? I’ve been to seven of the 14 ski areas in Utah, let me break it down.
