You did it, you made it to another year. If you’re like me, you’ve set some goals and it’s time to think about the New Year and the NEW YOU.
I have thought a lot about my resolutions. This year my goal is to dive deep into a few things. To grow my community and focus on quality over quantity.
5 Rules of Being a Happy Runner
More long runs in the country. Fewer glances at my phone.
More running dates with girl friends. Fewer solo treadmill sessions in windowless gyms.
More breathing. Less waiting to exhale.
More focus on how I feel. Less focus on my times.
More gear that fits my workouts. Less excuses that it’s too cold.
These mind shifts will make my workouts happier and more intentional.
As I was out running by the Christmas tree graveyard (aka the streets of Brooklyn), I listened to my breath and remembered all the reasons I love running. It’s time to focus on the joy exercise can bring us. The Danskin Now collection at Walmart is the perfect complement to my fitness goals for 2017.

My New Year goal is to slow down and be really intentional. Taking a few minutes to stretch in the morning and adding in a few breathing exercises is a small way to ease into the day and not feel bull-dozed by my to-do list.
