J Brand Cigarette Jeans

I’ve got lots of great denim reviews coming up! Today I’m showing off the J Brand Mid-Rise Cigarette Leg jean. I had a day of shopping (tis the season) planned and wanted to be comfortable. I slipped on this slim pair of jeans and paired it with a touch more denim–a chambray shirt from American Eagle and then layered on a pearl choker and a LOFT sweater.

I think it’s got a fun vibe. The heeled boots keep the look from being too boring. The neutral boots from Sofft seem to go with everything, but I especially like how they pair with these jeans. While I love tucking my jeans into boots, I am happy to take a break from the ultra-tapered leg. This cut makes legs look longer and leaner.

When it comes to slim denim, I don’t think anyone does it better than J Brand. I’ve tried 3×1, Paige, NYDJ, tons of things from Ralph Lauren, but I keep coming back to the letter J. The stretch in these Cigarette jeans ($169) is perfect. And I do appreciate that this jean has a higher waist. I have seen enough butt cleavage for a life time. I’m happy to spare readers, friends and family from this fashion assault.
