Friday Finds: Holiday Planning

With the holiday season kicking off in a few weeks, we have been searching for recipes, party planning ideas and gifts. Here are some of our favorite finds from around the web.

1. We are all about simple and meaningful gifts this holiday season and one of our favorite DIY cooking ideas is some Homemade Vanilla Extract from The Naptime Chef. Great for any home cook to incorporate your cooking skills and create a personal gift that they will love and use!

2. With Thanksgiving about three weeks away, I have been looking for something to bring to my in-laws. I was really struck by the meal ideas from Family Fresh Cooking including a delicious Sun-dried Tomato Hummus with Crispy Chips that I am excited to test out.

3. While looking at Oh MY Handmade, I loved the Beyond DIY: Reinventing Childhood post about the online store  CHILDish where you can find adorable gifts for kids like personalized plates, water bottles and cute stocking stuffers.

4. For holiday drinks, we are excited to test out the Mulled Wine recipe from Melangery, which is essentially a combination of dry red wine, nutmeg, orange zest, clover, ginger root, and cloves.
