Friday Food News: What’s New from Welch’s?

A few weeks ago I had the chance to learn more about some tasty and better-for-you snack alternatives from the iconic brand Welch’s. Not only offering products like their signature (and delicious) grape juice, this family-farmer owned company recently expanded to include Welch’??s Frozen Smoothie Kits, Frozen Fruit, 100% Juice Ice Bars and Filled Licorice for snacking on-the-go and options for after school.

At the preview event, I was drawn to the Frozen Smoothie Kits that included Greek Yogurt and fresh fruit that can be blended with milk or grape juice. I loved the Strawberry Banana flavor as well as the Mixed Berry Variety that would be a perfect addition to breakfast or a refreshing afterschool drink.  They also offer other varieties like Blueberry Cherry Blend and Strawberry Mango. The Frozen Fruit was another favorite that included a variety of real fruit options such as Antioxidant Fruit Blend, Four Berry Mix, Strawberries, Wild Blueberries, and Raspberry. With a hearty dose of Vitamin C, fiber as well as having no extra sugar, this is a great for snacking, desserts and smoothies. For after-school snacking, they also offer a new 100% Juice Ice Bars with Concord Grape, White Grape with Natural Cherry and White Grape with Natural Tropical for those of use who love cold treats year-round and tasty licorice for an occasional treat!

They also have their iconic jams – including flavors like grape, raspberry and strawberry – available in plastic jars, squeeze bottles and glass jars as well as their juice line that is made from concord grapes that pack a nutritional punch with poly-phenols and antioxidants to support heart health.

A company committed to family farmers and using the best Concord and Niagara grapes, Welch’s showcases a distinctive, and ever expanding product line that the whole family will love.
