I love discovering new brands. When I was introduced to CAbi (Carol Anderson by invitation) by my dear friend Jill Seiman, I instantly ‘clicked’ with the concept–combining chic style and socializing. CAbi makes stylish clothes for moms and I want to tell you more.
The trend of in-home shopping parties has been taking off in the past few years. But CAbi offers something truly unique. All across the country, women are hosting CAbi Shows and are shopping right out of the comfort of their living rooms. CAbi consultants are known for creating the “ultimate personal shopping experience” where they provide style tips and the opportunity to shop while among your friends.
Hearing all about the shopping experience had be thinking “ow could I have never heard of this concept before?” So I simply had to put CAbi through my MomTrends style test. I shopped the Spring 2012 collection (available until the end of June) and picked out a few hot summer trends–colored denim, floral prints and blazers. Don’t you love how it all came together?
Here are the pieces to my chic summer ensemble:
When it comes to denim, the cropped Bree Jean ($98) is a winner. The fit is great (I’??m anywhere from a 0 to a 4 and the 2 fit very well) and the fabric is perfection–not too stiff and just the right amount of stretch. TIP: CAbi Consultants are ‘fit experts’ & receive great training on the fundamentals of proportion, so definitely ask for your Consultant’s advice.
The floral top is an ideal layering piece. It can be worn alone or under a blazer, jean jacket or cardigan–the stretch cotton fabric is ideal for travel. This Printed Ruffle Tank ($64) works with blue, yellow, pink and green–making it very versatile.
Blazers are so trendy right now. I’m wearing the Toss On Jacket ($98) and playing with color blocking. This pop of color–geranium–is a fun way to add a layer on to your look without adding bulk. With a white tee and colored bottoms you can have an affordable summer outfit that will always look fresh.
When it came to completing the look all it needed was a simple sandal (old favorites from Tory Burch) and a few pieces of jewelry (love adding turquoise jewelry whenever I can during the summer–this pair is from Melinda Maria) and I was done–simply stylish and effortless.

These creative, home-based businesses are perfect for moms that want to carve out a career but don’??t want a traditional 9-5 office culture. CAbi Consultants share a love of clothing in the most organic way–by gathering friends.
