Healthy Treats and Fun Toys for Halloween

We all know that Halloween is coming up and our mini superheroes, princesses, vampires and sports stars (just name a few) are all looking forward to that overstuffed bag of candy at the end of the night. Some of us don’t want to have candy around the house for the next six months so if you looking for some cute, clever and fun ideas as alternates to candy here a few are some of our suggestions:

Let me start you off with the non-food treats!

One easy stop you can make on your online, bulk shopping is to oriental trading. Some of us are the lucky ones to get the catalog in the mail but if you don’t look online at Oriental Trading.

There you will find fun toys like glow sticks, fake teeth, yo yo’s, stickers, festive rings and bouncy balls. Candy will come and go but there is nothing better than giving a child a toy that they can enjoy for hours on end.

Another fun toy that every kid loves is temporary tattoos. You can get them at your local party store or  online at a party store like Party City.

Now, if you are still in the mood to dish out some candy or food this year, you can always get away from the basic candy and think outside the box with juice boxes, like Honest Kids. These pouches, available in Appley Ever After, Berry Berry Good Lemonade, Goodness Grapeness, Super Fruit Punch and Tropical Tango Punch, are certified organic and contain no high fructose corn syrup. We also love that they are a lower sugar option for kids and that they provide 100% of the daily-recommended value of Vitamin C.

Another healthy food option is cereal bars from Tasty. Created by two moms, Tasty features a fantastic line of organic snacks like their Carrot Cake bars that are made with fruits and vegetables. The bars are also made with 100% whole grains, sweet potatoes, and dates for a delicious treat that kids will love.
