Back to Work in Style

monday mingle work style

Hello work clothes! Vacation is almost over and it is time to go back to business. For me, I’m ramping up to go on a bunch of trips (yep, some exciting announcements to come) after a summer of spending time in the country with the kids.

For 8 weeks my uniform has been Birkenstocks, cut-offs and my bit sun hat. Sure it had a bit of style, but I am ready to toss on some heels, a skirt and start bringing my A-game to the city.

Fashion Week hits NYC in September, we’re hosting events, and I have tons of marketing meetings. I can’t show up in flip flops. Bring on Dobbin.

DobbinClothing was founded by two fabulous NYC-based designers who new what women needed–fabulous clothes that can work it. If you are a lawyer, or a entrepreneur you need a skirt like this one.

The Bianca Lightweight Ponte Flip Skirt ($98) will be traveling to Chicago with me this week. I like the flirty hem and the length that flatters all calves. Wear it with a tank top now or cashmere sweater when the weather gets cooler. The fit will accent your curves and NOT make you look like a sausage.

Of course, pairing it with a gorgeous silk top, like this one, would be my pick. This is the Sophie Silk Crepe de Chine Blouse ($118). You can dress this top up for work our down with jeans. And definitely bring some funky jewelry to the equation.
