Educational Games for Kids

Educational Games for Kids, Leap Frog

It is so exciting that my older daughter is learning how to read. To supplement her learning at home, we use some tech, but really is a part of her learning and it amazes me how quickly she can pick it up. Do decipher the junk from the quality, I had the chance to speak with Dr. Jody Sherman LeVos, a math and science development expert of LeapFrog’s Learning Team. Jody works on products across all platforms to teach math and science concepts in developmentally appropriate ways using research-based techniques.

During our interview (see below), Dr. Jody spoke of how can parents can find quality apps and games, what criteria parents consider when purchasing apps, how parents ensure their children are balanced within the world of apps and games, and what are some of best educational toys out there.

Check out the video, and be sure to do your research when purchasing gaming devices and apps for your kids!
