I’ve got the exclusive scoop on the new Jeremy Scott collection for the German company CYBEX–makers of sleek high-end strollers and baby gear. I’ll be sharing my exclusive interview with fashion designer Jeremy Scott tomorrow, but for now take a gander at the collection. It’s pretty buzz-worthy.
This week I flew to London to cover the release party and be there for the “big reveal.” Scott took pizza and other fast-food classics and turned them into a festive new print for CYBEX called “Food Fight.” The loud and colorful print fits in perfectly with the world Jeremy Scott has created. The designer is known for outrageous prints and daring color combinations. The crowd loved hearing about the collaborative effort and how Scott dreamed up the print (stay tuned for our interview).
I was there with a few other editors (Rebecca from PopSugar and Jamie–TheBabyGuyNYC) we sipped cocktails and nibbled on food inspired by the theme–mini burgers, hotdogs and popcorn. Scott was so fun and was very generous with his time and photos.
There are six items in this capsule collection including two strollers and fun accessories. Here are the highlights:
Callisto 3-in-1 stroller: You can use this stroller from day 1! Start with the optional carry cot (basically a bassinet) or slip in the Aton 3 infant car seat. When baby gets bigger, add the seat. Three configurations. One smart stroller.
Aton 3 Car Seat: The first piece of gear your baby will need. Head home from the hospital with this jazzy seat. This, the newest version of the award-winning Aton, has an adjustable head rest and improved sitting angle.
Go Baby Carrier: From 3 mos. This carrier has an ergonomic design and adjustable head support. Can be worn on the front or the back. Possibly my favorite in the print—this truly becomes a fashion accessory!
Onyx Stroller: The HUGE sun shield is so fun with this lively print. This stroller collapse with ease and is perfect for families on the go.
Baby Bag: I’m thinking fashionistas who don’t’ even have kids might pick up one of these. But for moms, there’s a wet compartment, bottle holder and changing mat included.
Scott says his favorite character is “Soda Pop Girl.” My personal favorite is the ice cream. It’s a clever, playful collaboration. Here’s a closer look at the print:
Most pieces will be available in late June in the Europe and the US. For more information visit http://cybexbyjeremyscott.com/index.html
Momtrends was not paid for this post. I was flown out to cover the event at the expense of CYBEX.
