Friday Finds: Best Indoor Activities for Kids

Some people may hate the winter weather, but I think it is a great time to slow down and spend more time at home. Since it can be a pain to always be on-the-go with kids, our weekends have been slower but still meaningful with more play at home. Here are some fun activities when one of those lazy/cold/rainy days strikes.

1. Simple Mom offers 20 great suggestions for indoor play including activities that focus on books such as reading, writing and even acting out a book to get your kids’ creative juices flowing. She also suggests playing with puppets, crafting,  rearranging a bedroom and creating an indoor clubhouse with a fort!

2. Momscape suggests to enjoy your time with a lot of creative activities like making collages, puppets and using cookie cutters for art projects.

3. The Outlaw Mom also has 30 tips to beat the winter boredom with some fun ideas including doing yoga, dancing, playing pretend and going bowling with your crayons.

4. The Six Sisters Stuff offers the ultimate activity guide with 101 suggestion for indoor fun. Some of my favorites include having a talent show, play with clay, make a silly necklace and start a journal.
