I’m going to stick my neck out there and say you probably aren’t taking care of the delicate tissue on your neck. Why am I pretty confident in this statement? It’s because most women’s skincare stops at their jawline. I know mine did…until recently.
I noticed this woman in a crowd with the most beautiful skin, but then drop the eyes down and her entire neck was this crepe paper thin lackluster mess. Bascially, when a woman sports this old lady look and you might as well have your birth certificate stuck to your shirt. Or worse, you could look older than you actually are.
Here’s a trio of creams that might help you avoid creepy crepey neck.
StriVectin-TL Tightening Neck Cream is an über-popular one and there’s a reason. This thick hydrating cream tightens, firms and returns youthful neck and jawline contours. Their proprietary NIA-114 (a form of vitamin B3, AKA Niacin) was actually discovered during skin cancer research to help renew skin strength. Slather this stuff on twice daily and you’ll improve your skin’s ability to fight sagging and hold onto its natural collagen and moisture. I’m nowhere near the 50+ year woman who they suggest use this cream, but I say why wait? If I’m not experiencing loss of firmness or elasticity, I will as I age and I want to get rid of any potential laxity and thin skin.
If you put photos of Cindy Crawford in her 20s next to those of today (decades later), you really can’t tell a difference. She’s still glowing and youthful. Insert eye roll here. Her new Meaningful Beauty Skin Brightening Décolleté and Neck Treatment Broad Spectrum SPF 15 must be on her regimen. It’s an extra silky formula that helps to firm, smooth and revitalize the often-neglected chest and neck area. It also boasts a skin-brightening complex designed to diminish the appearance of age spots and broad spectrum SPF 15 to help protect skin against future damage.
The theory behind the new line HTY Gold is that it wants you to keep the years where they belong’¦hidden. Don’t take care of your neck area and your years will be front and center. Their Intensive Face & Neck Serum is an all-natural face and neck serum that helps firm this delicate skin. Say goodbye to turkey neck and fine lines. Since it’s a pretty heavy oil, I find it best to be used at night. But the natural ingredients keep your skin hydrated and nourished with oils from avocado, Borage, Evening Primrose, Rosehip Seed, Grapeseed and Red Palm Super Olein. There is also a peptide is able to activate tissue growth factor (TGF-beta) that stimulates collagen synthesis in the skin for a true beauty boost. Just three drops is all need.
