Presents come in all shapes and sizes, which always makes it a challenge to get the perfect wrap. Last week Scotch Brand challenged eight of the country’s best gift wrappers to flaunt their style, speed and personality to wrap odd-shaped gifts in the 16th Annual Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper Contest. Held in Bryant Park contestants had to wrap everything from a tuba to oversized rubber to a giant model airplane with an eight-foot wingspan.
The panel was judged by three gift wrapping experts (Mark Ski, former producer for Martha Stewart Living, Evette Rios, craft and design expert, as well as former co-host and designer for Freestyle on HGTV. (Bi-lingual in English and Spanish) and Laurin Sydney, lifestyle expert and author of the gift wrapping book Why Bother? Why Not?) with Lia Griffith of Portland, Oregon and the creative director at Ellinee, an online stationery store, winning the title of the 2012 ‘Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper” and a $10,000 cash prize!
