Nature’s Path is one of the few brands that I know and love and can always count on to provide my family with nutritious, delicious and safe food. As many of you know, there is a big push for all foods containing GMOs (Genetically Modified Organism) to be labeled so we as consumers can choose to buy what we think is best for our family. When you purchase cereals, bars and snacks from Nature’s Path you know you are getting USDA Certified Organic, non-GMO, minimally processed wholesome food. Not only are the products good for you but they taste great and are widely available.
As a mama of two little ones in preschool, I now have to provide each of my children and their classmates with a healthy snack. It can be a challenge to find a non-perishable healthy snack that I can feel good about sending into school. I want my children to continue to learn that good -for -you -food can also be food that you enjoy. Many of my go-to snacks, such as bars are made by Nature’s Path. My kids even enjoy eating the Heritage O’s as a crunchy and fulfilling snack. I love that they don’t contain anything that I am scared to feed my children.
As a green and natural mama I am always on the hunt for new products that suit my family’s taste buds as well as my criteria for healthy, nourishing and GMO free food. My nephew just turned to a new gluten free diet and I was happy to be able to share one of Nature’s Path newest products with him. Qi’a is a crunchy, protein rich, sugar and salt free “superfood” that works well when paired with yogurt, when added to milk or right out of the bag.
Qi’a, (pronounced ‘key’ah’) aptly meaning energy, combines nutrient-rich, superfood ingredients chia, hemp and buckwheat to provide an excellent source of ALA Omega-3s and a good source of fiber. Qi’a is also loaded with Omega-6s, amino acids, protein and essential vitamins and minerals. It has no added sugar or salt and is organic, vegan, gluten free and Non-GMO Project Verified. Qi’a comes in three distinctly delicious flavors: apple cinnamon, cranberry vanilla and original. ($8.99)
Of course, the Love Crunch has been a staple in our house. I usually eat it right out of the bag! It is crunchy, full of flavor and is good for you too. When I don’t have time to make my own granola, I rely on Nature’s Path Love Crunch. Available in a wide variety of flavors, including my children’s new favorite, Banana Bread.
I love that the chocolate is certified fair trade, which means the highest standards of environmentally and socially responsible farming and processing methods are used, which helps preserve valuable ecosystems and ensures safe and fair working conditions to the farmers. Nature’s Path Bite4Bite initiative, for each bag of Banana Bread Love Crunch sold, the equivalent will be donated in cereal or cash (up to $1 million) to food banks, bundling the good will of all the consumers to help ease hunger for those who need it most. Love Crunch is sold for $4.99 per bag, you can get yours at Whole Foods. I am all geared up to try their newest product Gingerbread, Love Crunch which is Nature’s Path first ever Fair Trade Product. It will be available at Whole Foods from October to December.
I also love that Nature’s Path considers the environment when packaging its foods. I purchase the ECO-PAK, and yes, I still contend with a plastic wrapper, but I don’t deal with the wasted cardboard box and with larger bags I don’t have to buy as often, cutting down on wasted fuel, and packaging.
