Method Fights Breast Cancer

Pink your sink

Today I “pinked my sink!” What does this mean? I’m teaming up with Method to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Research. The Pink Your Sink campaign officially kicked off this week–and the product has arrived  in grocery stores throughout Canada and the U.S. (as well as Drugstore.com, & Soap.com). The hand soaps come in two versions–Botanical Garden and Mimosa Sun. They smell divine, look terrific and now you can feel great about helping a cause every time you wash your hands!

It’s time to lather up to promote breast cancer awareness.  The two limited edition hand washes to coincide with these efforts–today I swapped out my normal Method for pink to support the cause:

Here’s how the give back portion of this program works. Method is asking its Facebook fans where it should donate $10,000 in support of breast cancer awareness and research. Throughout the month of October, you can submit a nominee and vote on a breast cancer affiliated non-profit organization in the U.S. and Canada to be considered.

This is your shot to support a great local organization. For me the Avon Walk for the Cure is an outstanding choice. I nominate this charity because it’s a way to get active and raise money for a cause while bonding withe family and friends. The 2-day walk is all about hope and pride. There are 8 cities in all with a common goal that is shared–to support women by a show of strength and endurance over 39 miles. What charity is near and dear to you? Head here to nominate your own favorite www.facebook.com/method/app_418654781529627

At the end of the month, four charities will be chosen to receive a $2,500 gift from Method. Method in the nominating mode now thru the 7th. Then we move to voting. And there is something nice in it for you too. The nominators of the top 10 organizations will also receive gift basket featuring Method Pink products.

Momtrends is proud to be a Method Maven. Each month we highlight a program and share it with you all. We’re not scripted and the love is 100% organic.

I’m such a sucker for Method. I love these colors and the fragrances sound yummy. I’m so thrilled they are doing something great for these wonderful breast cancer charities, too!

We stick to Method hand soap at home because it’s one of the few soaps that doesn’t exacerbate my kids’ eczema. Might be funny to switch out all of the green and blue soap for pink and see my husband’s reaction ;)

I didn’t know that about eczema!

It’s true. A lot of hand soaps are harsh and totally drying, so they make the exczema worse. We’ve done really well with Method so far :)

Yes – my daughter has a mild case of it so I only super gentle products. Who needs all those chemicals!!
