I’m kicking off Fashion Week in NYC with some great looks for girls. Today I celebrated the first day fo school and fall by heading to my old stomping grounds–Polo Ralph Lauren. It was the Ralph Lauren Girl’s Fashion Show and Ralph Lauren invited future style icons to have the ultimate Fashion Week experience with a front-row seat.
My 7 year-old was all dolled up with her Ralph Lauren finery and seated next to the lovely littles from Triple Threat Mom and Mom101. We watched 46 looks walked the runway. My daughter oohed and aahed over the Fall 2012 Ralph Lauren Girls collection and a preview of the Holiday collection. Mostly she didn’t understand why she wasn’t strutting. Next year?
While I was mostly busy watching her take in the show, I did pick out a few trends to share. And overall a huge thank you to RL for making girls clothes that don’t make me cringe. They are edgy, pretty, funky and fun all while being feminine. Exhale and reach for the Amex.

Mr. Lauren closed the show hand in hand with the youngest models of the bunch! And just like last year there was an adorable dog that stole the show.
