Fashion Week Recap

Fashion Week is going strong in NYC. This week I’m sharing highlights and an outfit.

The weather was steamy this week–I guess that’s fitting since everyone was showing spring 2012 collections, but it sure wasn’t getting me in the mood to buy fall clothes.

But when there is a good cause, I’m in. So I traveled to Madison Avenue to support Baby Buggy and shop the Carolina Herrera collection for Fashion’s Night Out.

Guess who I saw on the way there? Kelly Bensimon. She was out and about trying to catch a cab with her daughter. Love the outfit Kelly!

No leather for me. Instead, I wore an old dress and paired it with a new pair of Sofft Boots. I love the way the suede works with the summery dress and I think it’ll work well with jeans and my fall finery. I’m wearing the Sofft Windsor Boot in Tan ($163). You already know I am a fab of Sofft–the shoes look hot and I can walk for miles in them.

The next day it was off to Lincoln Center. I was stopping by a few suites to check out the hottest beauty and accessory trends. I started at Stella & Dot and got a peek at the Holiday Collection and the partnership with Alice Temperly–it’s going to be great, but I can’t show you until 10/1. So you’ll have to be happy with a bit of news from BareMinerals.

I talked to Leslie Blodgett, the Founder of Bare Minerals and got a look at the new READY foundation. I got color matched for the new product and loved the coverage. Light and seamless. Plus it’s got spf20 in it too. They had a packed house full of bloggers getting touchups before stepping back out into NYFW‘s spotlights.
