Yesterday method home announced a glorious new design partnership–they have teamed up with print maker, Orla Kiely for an exclusive and limited edition run of cleaning products. You might not even finish this post before you grab your keys and head to Target to scoop these up. But hang in there–because in addition to the designs, we’re sharing a fabulous sweepstakes on Method’s Facebook.
This line starting showing up in Target stores nationwide around August 7th–it was killing me to keep my lips sealed until now. I’ve seen the limited edition hand washes, dish soap and all-purpose cleaners in person and they are divine. They feature yummy scents–pear ginger, bay leaf, primrose and vanilla chai–that work back to Orla’s patterns.
Who is Orla? She’s an Irish print maker who has become the hottest thing since Marimekko. The artist is based in London and has a wide assortment of accessories and home goods to her credit. All of her work has bold graphic appeal.
This is Method’s first collaboration with a pattern maker and I’d say it’s a smashing success. Orla is very eco-conscious and was looking for a partner that she shares her sustainability values with as well as her love of color, patterns and design. The relationship was a natural fit and beautiful friendship.
The method/Orla Kiely Facebook Sweepstakes kicks off next week and runs from August 22 – August 31. US residents may enter to win 5 grand prizes of an Orla Kiely handbag filled to the brim with the limited collection Method + Orla Kiely line. 30 runner-ups will receive various Method + Orla Kiely products.
Don’t worry, we’ll remind you via facebook and twitter. And in the mean time start drooling over the design–maybe you’ll even want to re-pin a few of our pinterest finds from the pinterest hommage to Orla. Be sure to bokmark and like Facebook.com/method
Like all Method soaps, the formula is biodegradable and naturally derived and free of any dirty ingredients, like parabens, phthalates, triclosan and EDTA, and packaged in recyclable bottles made with 100% recycled plastic (PCR).
Momtrends is proud to be a method maven. What does that mean? I get the inside story on the new products in development for method. And what’s more they really listen to my feedback. I’m never given a script, just great products to inspire me each month.
