Outfit alert! I put together this cute summer outfit for under $100. While I love trendy dresses, I won’t spend a mint on them. This dress has a lot going on when it comes to trends–the hi-low hem, the ikat print and the bold colors. Picking up something like this from Kohl’s is the perfect idea.
The dress is from the Jennifer Lopez Collection. I admit I’ve made fun of a few of her fashion picks over the years–so I really haven’t given her clothing line much thought. Kohl’s shipped me this dress as part of the fall preview. I don’t know if I would have picked this out in the store, but since it arrived at my door I thought I would give it a twirl. Here’s the J-Lo dress on Kohl’s (sale $36). Since I’m a clothing snob, I was really surprised. The fabric felt great and had wonderful movement to it. And I love that this dress has pockets.
Will I be wearing this for years to come? Nope. But I at this price. Who cares. I had to show off this bargain find. And then…
A few days later a pair of Aerosoles floral flats arrived in the perfect turquoise hue. This outfit was destined to happen. The Chlockwork Sandal is also on sale ($39.99)–making this entire outfit under $100.
I wore the dress to a photo shoot and all over NYC as I ran errands on a rare summer day without the kids. I felt cool and pretty in this ensemble. It’s a lot of color and print, but with a tan and fresh blowout, I thought I could work it.
